Privacy policy

This policy explains how FT2 processes information across the website, mobile client, Gateway, and optional account features.

Last updated:September 4, 2026

Core principle: your projects, files, agent configuration, CLI credentials, and authoritative session state remain in the Environment you control. FT2 Gateway provides authenticated connectivity and routing; it is not designed to use that content as a cloud business database.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the FT2 mobile app, FT2 website, public Gateway, and optional account and support services (together, the “Services”). Third-party agents, model providers, and tools that you run in your own Mac, Linux host, or other Environment may have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we process

Information you provide

  • Identity information needed for optional account sign-in, such as a subject identifier, email address, or avatar returned by an identity provider;
  • Contact details, issue descriptions, and attachments that you send to support;
  • Settings and feedback that you intentionally submit through the Services.

Application and connection information

  • App version, operating system, device category, language, and necessary diagnostic information;
  • Anonymous Device Identity, Environment ID, Gateway Route, device registration, and pairing state;
  • Connection times, request results, IP addresses, security events, and anti-abuse logs;
  • Push tokens and notification preferences when you enable notifications.

Information in an Environment you control

Projects, threads, Agent Definitions, Runtime Profiles, commands, files, terminal content, CLI credentials, and session history are stored and processed by your Environment. The mobile client accesses that content through an encrypted connection when you initiate an operation. Gateway may transmit related bytes transiently in memory and across network links to provide real-time routing, but it is not designed as the persistent or authoritative store for that content.

3. How we use information

  • Establish, authenticate, and maintain connections between the mobile client and an Environment;
  • Provide pairing, device registration, notifications, support, and security features;
  • Diagnose failures, improve reliability, and prevent abuse;
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect users and the Services.

4. Legal bases and choices

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our service agreement, with your consent, for our legitimate interests, or to comply with legal obligations. Account sign-in is not required for FT2's basic connection model; you may use an anonymous Device Identity without optional sign-in. Disabling notifications, removing an Environment, or stopping use of the Services limits the corresponding processing.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share the minimum information necessary with infrastructure, identity, push notification, or support providers only when needed to deliver the Services, or when required by law, to protect legal rights, or to respond to a security incident.

When you use Codex, Claude, or another third-party agent or model in an Environment, your configured Host communicates with that provider. The provider's terms and privacy policy govern its handling of data.

6. Retention

We retain cloud-side logs, device registration, account aliases, and support records only for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, subject to security, legal, and backup requirements. You control retention inside your Environment. Deleting the app or removing a pairing does not necessarily delete projects or sessions on the Host.

7. Security

We use HTTPS/WSS, short-lived one-time Pair Tokens, device authorization, minimal Gateway semantics, and access controls to reduce risk. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send API keys, login credentials, Pair Tokens, or unredacted project content to support.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export information about you, withdraw consent, or object to processing. You may also remove an Environment, clear client data, or disable optional features in the app. Contact us for assistance.

9. Children's privacy

FT2 is intended for people capable of managing development or operations environments and is not directed to children under 14. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and legal requirements change. We will provide notice of material changes through the website, app, or another reasonable channel and update the date at the top of this page.

11. Contact us

Send privacy questions or rights requests to [email protected] or [email protected]. We may need to verify the requester to protect account and Environment security.
